Rome, Italy

Rome is such a fabulous city, the capital of Rome, with a population of 4.3 million within the metropolis.  It is an ancient history of over 2,500 years, with every corner enhanced by talented artists.  If you’ve never been to Rome, a good way to see it is to buy a ticket for the Hop On Hop Off Bus.  You can ride around the city, and pick and choose which famous spot you want to explore in greater detail.

St. Peter’s Basilica

Of course, no trip to Rome would be complete without a visit to the Vatican.  One can feel the deep roots of Catholicism when you step into the Cathedral, but you can also feel the intense richness, power, and incredible wealth of the church when you step inside of St. Peter’s Basilica.

We found Trevi Fountain tucked away in a small intersection.  You will be so surprised when you see how this extremely famous monument is sandwiched into a small corner of the street.  Nonetheless, it is a powerful work of art and will take your breath away.

We did Rome own our own today and surprisingly we made it back to the boat before the ship sailed!  Believe me, two couples missed the boat two cities ago so make sure if you hire an independent guide, that you get back on time.  The ship will not wait for you!
